The round top measures 25 1/2″ across. It looks as if it had a pedestal base as there is only one place for a screw and that is in the middle of the top. This is a well used top and not sure what happened to the base. There are a lot of scratches and I am not sure if they can be taken out or not. There is a tiny ding on the top that is not very noticeable because of the marbleized pattern. It is my understanding that these are made from layered goat skin and then lacquered.
The top is made to look like marble around the exterior and the center has a image of a Italian Renascence village scene or on the outskirts of the village. There are 2 labels on the back; one is just a number of “445” and the other reads “Creazione, TURA and Italy”
The second top I am assuming was part of nesting tables. This one has a bit more wear to it and is my understanding that he would lay this on a TV dinner stand and pay all his bills. He had been doing that for a few years. He was 93. We are sure he bought these back in the day as his estate was filled with numerous Italian Mid Century Items.
This top does have a place for 4 legs. It is chipping off the top left edge along the very edge top right and right side. A drip of white paint. This particular top measures 19″ x 14″. Label/s have fallen away
